The focus of this interactive workshop will be on interdisciplinary
approaches to getting evidence into aged care practice. The workshop
leaders are very experienced in the barriers to evidence translation
and successful (and not so successful) counter measures!
Participants will have the opportunity to work through real life
situations and take away ideas/tools that they can use in practice.

Facilitators:
Assoc. Prof. Michael Murray - Director of Geriatric Medicine, St Vincent's
Assoc. Prof. Keith Hill – Senior Research Fellow, NARI
Professor Mike Nolan – Professor of Gerontological Nursing, The University of Sheffield, UK
Everyone is talking about evidence based practice but HOW to do it – that is one question! A bigger question is how to do it as an interdisciplinary person-centred team. These leading experts from allied health, nursing and medicine, who have had experience getting research into practice will share their tips on what works and what doesn’t. Participants will ‘learn by doing’ with case study activities and group interaction.
