ACEBAC2007 – Evidence in Practice – is the Bi Annual Conference of the
Australian Centre for Evidence Based Aged Care to be held at La Trobe
University, Melbourne, Victoria from 26 to 28 September 2007 inclusive.
ACEBAC is a multi-disciplinary research and development unit of La
Trobe University which aims to improve the care of older people by
advancing service delivery through research programs.
Our aim is to be an internationally recognised leader in evidence based
aged care. Our mission is to make a significant contribution to
knowledge and practice in evidence based care and care delivery models
related to the longer term health conditions of ageing.
This conference will see the bringing together of experts to focus on
identifying and developing issues and guidelines for quality
improvements in relation to the care of older Australians specifically
and the aged in society generally.
This will be an exciting conference which affords organisations
associated with the provision of assistance to older people or those
that may be contemplating expanding markets in this area a unique
opportunity for direct access to the health care professionals involved.
ACEBAC2007 will provide the platform for exploration, confirmation and
challenge amongst national and international specialists, practitioners
and visionaries.
You are invited and encouraged to be part of this success, by exploring
not only the new ideas and technology in managing complex systems, but
also the vibrant atmosphere of the conference. Combining an innovative
technical program with friendly networking events and trade exhibition,
in the urbane setting of La Trobe University, your participation in
this conference will set the benchmark for future events.
Building on the huge success of the previous colloquium ACEBAC2007 aims
to bring together health professionals from all spheres to explore the
multiple facets of nursing and health issues from local, national and
international perspectives.
Participants will hear from a variety of speakers and will have the
opportunity to network with others to discuss, debate and critically
analyse care and health issues.
