Welcome to ACEBAC 2007
Welcome Message from the Director

The 2004 ACEBAC conference received rave reviews - the 2007 event will be even better! The focus of ACEBAC’s work is interdisciplinary, evidence based care of older people. This conference through its keynote speakers will provoke, inform and entertain participants.

Keynote speakers are Professor Mike Nolan from the University of Sheffield, UK, who will present on relationship centred care in an evidence based practice environment. Associate Professor Stephen Hall – Rheumatologist from Cabrini Medical Centre will question the value and ‘ethics’ of evidence based practice and Professor Joseph Ibrahim – Director of Aged Care Medicine from Peninsula Health will reflect on the reality of evidence based practice as it relates to older people.

Welcome Message from the Minister for Ageing

Christopher Pyne MP, Minister for Ageing

The Australian Government recognises the very important work done by all staff working in the aged care sector. Their commitment to their work and to older Australians is admired by me and valued by the community.

The Conference will provide a great opportunity for people involved in the aged care industry to network, discuss and understand the importance of evidence-based best practice in the care of older Australians. I encourage your attendance at the ACEBAC Conference: Evidence in Practice.
